IRA Contribution Limits for 2023

The maximum amount you can contribute to a traditional IRA for 2022 is $6,500 if you're younger than age 50. Workers age 50 and older can add an extra $1,000 per year as a "catch-up" contribution, bringing the maximum IRA contribution to $7,500.

Simple IRA Contribution Limits for 2023

The annual contribution limit for SIMPLE IRAs is $15,500, up from $14,000 in 2022. Workers age 50 or older can make additional catch-up contributions of $3,500, for a total of $19,000.

401K, 403B and most 457 plans - Contribution Limits for 2023

The contribution limit for employees who participate in 401(k), 403(b), most 457 plans, and the federal government's Thrift Savings Plan is increased to $22,500.
